Speaker:

People have probably said to you, and maybe you've also said this to other people, work in purpose and provision will follow. Now, while that is true. Can I just challenge that a little bit today? Because many Jesus followers are working in purpose, but they still feel stuck. They are purpose filled, but they're profit starved. They are called, there's no doubt about it, but they do not yet experience that level of compensation that they know that they should receive. Why? Because purpose alone. Does not pay you. Purpose is the seed. Value is the fruit. Revenue is the harvest. And so in this episode, I'm gonna break down the lie. That purpose alone will produce income impacts all kingdom fruits, because in the kingdom purpose may be the starting point, but it's not strategy provision flows. Where purpose becomes value, and value solves real problems. So let's talk about that today. Many Jesus followers believe that if they just stay aligned with their calling, opportunities will automatically flow. So you find someone who is a gifted speaker, And can move a room, but they haven't yet built an offer that they can make to people. You find someone who is a gifted intercessor, they carry real spiritual depth. They've seen prayers answered, but they haven't yet packaged that gift into, for example, a mentoring opportunity or a coaching. I've met many worship leaders who are able to lead worship excellently well to lead people into the presence of God to worship, but they have not been able to get to the point where they can package that gift and that ability. All of that experience and learning into something that they can offer upcoming worship leaders to help them develop their own potential and become great worship leaders as well. You find the Christian creative who can design with excellence, but they are yet to learn how to turn that design into a deliverable product that somebody can buy. These are all people who may be working in purpose, but they are impact and income are still stuck in neutral, and to a degree that sounds spiritual, But in practice it leaves too many gifted people who are called, who are anointed, stuck in places where they do not want to be. For example, stocking jobs that they know that are not maximizing their potential jobs in which they know they're not making the impact that God has called them to make jobs in which down deep in their hearts, they know they're not being paid for the value that they know that they are providing. So they're showing up full of passion, but they're unclear on the problem that they can solve. They're working in purpose, but they are not producing fruits that are measurable by impact, income, and influence. Now, the reason for that is simply because purpose is divine direction, but. Purpose is not a marketplace product. It's not enough to be passionate. We have to create something that delivers value if we want to translate our purpose into impact income, and. And This is the turning point. for so many believers, so many kingdom entrepreneurs. When we stop treating purpose like the destination and start treating it like a seed to be cultivated, then we can experience the levels of impact, income, and influence that our purpose has the potential to produce. So here's the truth. Purpose gives you clarity. Purpose gives you direction, but value creation is what creates traction in the marketplace. And obviously it's only in the marketplace. It's only when you get to the place where you can exchange what you have for what people have to give you that you can be begin to make. Profit. That is how it's designed. That is how God has designed it. The servant in Matthew 25 who hid his one talent did not expose that talent to the marketplace, and there was no way it could be multiplied. So value is created when your gift becomes useful, when it saves someone, for example, time, when it helps someone heal. When your gift. Help someone who is stuck in a situation to move forward, someone who doesn't know what their next best step is. Your gift helps them take that next step, then you are creating value. You create value simply when you create a solution that answers a specific problem, a specific pain point, or accelerates somebody's. Breakthrough When you create something that helps someone achieve the thing they are desiring to achieve without the pain or the trouble, or the thing that they're afraid that they have to face to achieve that thing that they desire. So purpose is a starting point. It's the why. It's the reason for your creation. It's the thing that defines your success. It's the thing that if you do not do it, you cannot be. Defined as a success, but value is the what? and stewardship. It's the how. It's your access to the impact and the income that God desires for you by reason of your purpose. If you do not get to the point of stewarding your purpose faithfully, you will never experience the impacts, the income, and the influence that your gift already. Has the potential to bring into your life. So think of your purpose like a seed. Your purpose is not the end point. Think of it like a seed. You already carry it. It's inside of you. You carry it in your pocket and you shout about it. But until it is planted just like every other seed, it's only in potential form. Yes. It has the ability to become this fruitful and prosperous tree, but only when it is planted in the right soil. Only when it is watered, only when it is cultivated will it begin to produce the fruit that you can have. And in this case, we're talking about fruit as impacts. We're talking about fruit as income, and we're talking about fruit as influence. seed that is not planted, watered and cultivated, does not produce fruit. So that's what value creation does. It turns your potential seed or your potential purpose into produce, and people will not pay you for passion or purpose alone. I know you are passionate about your purpose. I know you're passionate about your gift, But if you wanna profit from that purpose, people will not pay you for passion alone. People will not pay you for purpose alone. They will pay you for the solution that your passionate purpose. Produces your purpose is not profitable until it becomes a solution. So if your gift isn't solving a specific problem, people may celebrate your calling, but they won't engage with your offer. They will not engage with the thing that you have to present to them. And so this is the shift that many Jesus followers, many kingdom entrepreneurs must make. They must go from recognizing. That discovering your purpose is only the beginning. It's an excellent place to start from, and in fact, it's critical for any other step that you must take in this journey of profiting from your purpose. You have to, first of all discover your purpose, but it's only the beginning. The next step is to develop it into a valuable solution, one that solves. A real problem. One that creates real fruits that people already desire, and one that reflects real stewardship because you want to multiply the gift that your heavenly Father, your king, your God, your Lord has given you. You wanna multiply that. You don't want to be like that servant in Matthew Chapter 25. someone may be asking, how do I create value from my purpose? How do I know what value to create from my purpose? Very simply, the answer is your gift, your gift is that inherent ability you've been given so that you can fulfill your purpose. Your gift defines. Your purpose, your gift is the thing that gives expression to your purpose. Without your gift, you will not be able to fulfill your purpose. Your gift is the enablement that God gave you so that you can fulfill your purpose and how to find that gift, how to place your finger on that gift, that's the thing that you will use to create value. Is by finding the intersection between your passion and your proficiency. Neither these are good enough. Passion is not enough for you to go from purpose to profit. Neither is proficiency enough for you to go from purpose to profit. But passion is important because when you start on this purpose driven journey, when you start on this journey to profit from your purpose, you will face opposition. You will find things that want to pull you down. You will find discouragement. You will find that you are not getting the results you thought you will get on day one. It is passion that will keep you. Going, so you've got to ensure that the thing that you are using to create value is something that you are passionate about. And thank God that we are wired to be passionate about our purpose. In fact, if something is not something that lights you up, that sets you on fire, it's not likely to be your purpose. One of the ways you know what your purpose is is by asking what is the thing? That sets me on fire. So once you've identified your passion, you now identified your proficiency. What am I good. What are the things that I have gotten results in in the past? What's my training? What's my experience? What are the things that people have come to say to me? Thank you so much because you did this and I got this results. Why Your passion and your proficiency meet is a great place to begin to show you how you can begin to create value that people will. Pay you for But you see, if you're going to get people to pay you for this value that you are creating, it has to be solving a problem. So while passion and proficiency are important, you have to make sure that the thing that you are creating solves a real problem. So this becomes a Tite model. Of passion, proficiency and problem. This is what gives you marketplace relevance without the last piece of problem. Your gift stays private, your impact stays invisible, and your income stays. Limited. So take a few seconds and ask yourself, what topic makes me come alive? Because that's your passion. For me, it's talking about purpose. It's talking about fulfilling your potential or maximizing your potential. For me, it's talking about marrying your purpose with your profit. This is what sets me on fire. This is what I love. To talk about. This is what I've, people who've known me for years know that I've always talked about purpose. This is, this is what I love to talk about. So what is your topic? What do you love to do? Or what do you love to talk about? Number two, what do people always come to you for? What are you able to do that's your proficiency? What are you able. To do. I'm able to teach, Both by training and by experience. I've come to the point where I believe that I'm able to communicate ideas and people receive those ideas and it makes sense to them. So what is your proficiency? What can you do? And finally, What painful problem does your passion and your proficiency help you solve? So once you find this intersection of your passion and your proficiency and the problem that it solves, this gives you marketplace relevance because in the marketplace, money is the reward for solving. Problems. But in the kingdom. problem solving is more than a strategy. It's more than just a way to get money. For us as kingdom purpose-driven people, this is stewardship. This is about being faithful to our God and using the thing that he has put inside of us to make a difference in society. Make a difference. People's lives because we recognize that God didn't just call us to express purpose. He called us to multiply fruit. He didn't just give us gifts so that we can hold onto it, but he gave us those gifts so that we can cultivate them to the point where they begin to bear fruit. Heaven doesn't pay people who hold onto purpose. No. It funds those who multiply it. It is in the process of multiplying your purpose, that you will find the provision that God has made available to you. In Matthew 25, the servant who buried his talent, he wasn't judged for stealing. He was judged for staying safe. He didn't lack calling what he lacked. Stewardship. He did not realize that the thing that his master gave him, in fact, that the definition of faithfulness was not maintenance, but it was multiplication. So Jesus didn't praise him for being careful. Jesus didn't praise him for being risk averse, for not risking the thing that he was given, but for making sure that when he came back he found the thing in the same. Quantity or quality as he left it with him, but instead he praised the one who was fruitful. He praised the one who took the risk to invest what he was given, so that. It multiplied. That helps me, that God doesn't reward maintenance. He rewards multiplication. So playing it safe is in spiritual. It might sound like you're being humble when you are not putting yourself out there, when you're not shouting about what you're capable of doing and the results. That you can get for people and that you've got for people. When you're not inviting people to come into your world so that you can serve them, you might come across as a humble person because you're not bragging, but we see from the word of God that it is the servant who multiplies their potential. That is called faithful, and I don't know what matters to you, but I know for myself that what is most important to me is to hear from my master when I see him. Well done. Good and faithful servants. You used what I gave you to make a difference. You multiplied it because this is all over scripture right at the beginning from Genesis chapter one. This is embedded in the instructions that God gave Adam. Be fruitful and multiply, be fruitful and multiply. And I talk severally about how it'll be unfair of God to. Expect fruitfulness, a multiplication from Adam if he hasn't given him the ability to be fruitful and to multiply. And I believe that's what he did when he blessed them, because to bless is to empower. So he blessed them, he gave them the seed. That is the gift that God has put in you so that you can multiply and fulfill your purpose. So we see from scripture that these mandates are not suggestions, but they are there as instructions given to God's people to be fruitful, to multiply, to not just maintain, but to multiply and be faithful with the thing that God has given us. So if you have purpose but haven't developed it into a problem solving offer, You're not stuck. Because you're not good enough. You're not stuck because you don't have what it takes. You're stuck because you are underdeveloped. If you have purpose, if you have a calling, but you find yourself in a job that doesn't fulfill you in a job, that doesn't pay you what you're worth in a job that you hate, in a job that is draining you emotionally, spiritually, physically, it's not because there is no path for you to get out of it. It's probably because you haven't yet placed your finger. On how to turn your purpose into a profitable offer that people will pay you for. And how to do that is by finding the solution that your purpose will solve. Because you see, obedience starts with purpose, but still aship starts with value. The person who will multiply their purpose is the person who will find the value. In their purpose by answering the simple question, what problem does my gift solve? Because your gift is the inherent capacity that God has given you to fulfill your purpose. When you link that gift to a real tangible problem that people are seeking answers to a problem that someone is going to bed tonight and praying for an answer to, when you're able to develop that gift to solve. That specific problem, people will exchange their valuable resources, their money with you because you have a valuable solution for them. So as we come to the end of this episode, let me ask you some questions that may be hard questions. Has your purpose stayed in seed form because you've been unwilling to package it into fruit? Fruit is what feeds people, not ideas, not just passion, not good intentions, but fruits. So here's what you need to do this week to move from that person who just has purpose from that person who just has a calling. Stuck. This is what you need to do this week. Identify one specific problem Your gift is called to solve. So many of us only look within ourselves. We're only thinking about how we will fulfill our purpose, how we will maximize our calling. We're just living in this egocentric, and if you like selfish. Space alone. It's time to look outside of your world and ask yourself, what are the problems that my passion and my proficiency can solve? What are the problems that God has called me to solve? That's how you begin to move from the person who has purpose, but stuck to the person who has purpose and is making an impact through their purpose is increasing their income through their purpose, and is making. Influence for the kingdom of God through their purpose. Ask yourself, who is missing out on their breakthrough? Because I haven't built a solution for them yet. Who is that person that is missing out on their breakthrough? Because you haven't built a solution for them yet At a single mother, at a stay at home moms and they worship leaders. Who are they? Are they young people? Are they teenagers who are praying and waiting for somebody like you to show up and bring a solution into their world so that they can step into the next breakthrough that God has for them? So stop hiding behind purpose because purpose is not. Purpose is a starting point. Your obedience truly begins when you turn your purpose into a valuable solution that solves a problem for people. Your increase, your impact and your influence truly begins when you build your purpose into a solution that people are praying for. Because you see, you're not just called to carry purpose. You are called to convert your purpose into value and convert that value. Into kingdom transformation in people's lives. There are people waiting for the righteousness, the peace and the joy that the kingdom of God alone can bring into their lives. your gift. It's a pathway to bring these attributes of the kingdom of God into their lives. So stop romanticizing purpose and start stewarding it because purpose alone won't pay you, but purpose converted into value, can increase your income, can increase your impact, can increase your kingdom influence. So go and do that this week and God bless you.
